With school work pilling up and our days getting more packed, I wanted to share a few ways I spice up my toast. I know it is just toast, but I get tired of eating the same old stuff! I want to show you guys more food that is inexpensive to purchase and quick to make. I normally am running out the door in the morning on the way to class so I like to take it with me! I also made four pieces so I could eat them for a snack and they surprisingly kept really well in the fridge!

This is super simple to make! Took me around 10 minutes because I toasted my bread in the oven! I sliced my apples and took my nut butter out of the fridge just to save some time. I was very lazy and actually bought already sliced apples (judge me) . LOL I personally used some gluten free bread because it makes me feel less bloated and  I don't have that heavy feeling after I eat items without gluten.  Honey crisp apples are the best for this because they are sweet and you get that nice crunch when you bite into the toast.

  • 4 slices of your favorite bread

  • 1 apple, cored and thinly sliced  (Honeycrisp Apples)

  • 2 tablespoons organic tahini

  • 2 tablespoons local raw honey

  • a few sprigs of fresh thyme

  • sea salt, optional

Some other options you can do is all some goat cheese on top or even gouda! I did that a few days later and it was amazing!! I also replaced the Tahini with some local nut butter from a company I found at my farmers market. I know it is allergy season and buying local raw honey at a an all natural co-op or local market is said to help!

These would also be fab to make beforehand and take on a picnic or hike!
