Okay, I look like a housewife waiting for my husband to come home in these pictures. I actually laughed out loud. I told my photographer next time I’m wearing pearls so I really look 100% the part. I can’t be half assed when pretending to get my housewife on! LOL!
Side note…. I have been trying a ton of new cocktails and looking up recipes on Pinterest. There are literally thousands of recipes. All I care about is that they taste good, are low calorie, and there is alcohol present. Cocktails can look super pretty, but have you ever gone to a bar and been like wow! I have to take a pic of this for Snapchat! Then you taste it and it seriously makes you believe it might be rubbing alcohol.
I like my drinks strong, but if I liked the taste of vodka I would just drink it straight and that's never gonna happen. Now. if you do ever see me just sipping on vodka on the rocks… check me into rehab because something is seriously off. I always say the fruitier the better when it comes to cocktails! People tell me that my mind will change, but this girl know exactly what she likes.
Wow! ... that went from housewife to rehab real quick, but lets get to why you’re here…..to learn to make a fun new drink, that is quick and will impress the pants off of your friends.
This is what you will need! Feel free to screenshot the ingredients list to make your life easier!
Honey simple syrup
Ingredients per drink
2 shots Simply Grapefruit
2-3 shots LA vodka
½ small lemon, juiced (Watch for seeds!!)
¼ ounce honey simple syrup
2 sprigs of rosemary
tiny dash of sea salt (trust me)
Garnish, per drink
Max 5 Minute Cocktails:
You can start by juicing the grapefruit (which is totally optional by the way). Next make the honey simple syrup! This is super easy (trust me). Just pour the honey and water into a small saucepan. Put it over medium heat and whisk the mixture together for about a minute. Remove from heat.
Next fill a small cocktail shaker with ice. Pour in the grapefruit juice, vodka, lemon juice and honey simple syrup. I use fresh squeezed and also Simply Grapefruit juice (buy in a jug). Then I do a small pinch of salt and add a few sprigs of rosemary. Close the shaker (obviously) and then shake it up for about 15 seconds! Pour your new favorite drink into the most Instagrammable glasses you own and serve/snap away!
If you're feeling fancy add another sprig of rosemary or even a slice of grapefruit to the side of glass.
P.s. I want to thank everyone for the bar cart color advice! I will make my final decision and then get my painting on. Cheers little honeys!
