BRAND SPOTLIGHT: OUTCHARMED
You all know that I am 100% about supporting a women run company, especially a fellow female in college. I think it is amazing to not only support women, but also sport their product. For the past few weeks I have worn Outcharmed jewelry in my Instagram posts and in my stories.
A little back story on the company:
"Outcharmed was created in 2016 as a way to let girls express themselves and their personal style. I am a twenty-one year old who recently just graduated from the University of Arizona. I started Outcharmed by making jewelry and clothes for myself in my spare time. Others seemed to like what I was making, so one day I decided to start a business out of it. I am self taught and come up with new designs day by day. No two pieces that I make are the same, just as no two people are the same. I hope that you see the love that I put into my work and enjoy wearing the item that is handmade just for you!" - Samara (Founder)
Okay... how amazing is that?! Not only is she a one woman show, she has been featured on the J. Crew website and a variety of news outlets. For me I love a variety of jewelry companies, but I also like one of a kind pieces. Being able to customize every piece makes it feel personal and special. Samara was super quick to send everything over to me and I was able to take it on a trip with me in a matter of days. Having someone who is dedicated to their customer and also efficient is a hard combination to find!
1. Hair scarfs
Inspiration from the brand: "I created the headscarves as a way to accessorize an outfit multiple ways. I had seen these wrapped around girls pony tails when I was abroad in Italy and I was obsessed with the idea! I wanted these to be very versatile. I personally love wearing these headscarves as a headband, around a pony tail or bun or even around my neck as a little neck tie! Adding these headscarves to an outfit can dress it up immediately or even be the perfect fix for a bad hair day!"
These headscarf's are seriously everywhere. They have been spotted on huge fashion bloggers and celebrities these past few months (making a comeback in a major way). From polka dots to prints and bright to neutral colors- there is a wide variety. I prefer wearing ones with a print or texture because in my light blonde hair I think it makes an exciting contrast. This one is a burnt orange with a white floral pattern. These can also double as a choker, purse accessory, head band, or fun tie around a pony. Below is a little inspiration for how I wore mine.
2. Cactus Inspired Jewelry
Inspiration from the brand: "I am an Arizona native so naturally the inspiration for the Arizona Gal Set came from the desert that I live in. I am going to be moving out of the state soon so I wanted to create something that I could take with me to remind me of the beautiful desert. I think this necklace is perfect for all of the free spirited gals out there."
I am loving the inspiration behind this trend. For me right now, I am gravitating towards really unique pieces that not everyone has. This double chain necklace with a turquoise cactus, is chic and simple. The cactus is very bohemian, but you can also make it more modern with what colors your pair with it.
